Jacques Aigrain joined Swiss Re in June 2001 as head of the Financial Services Business Group and Member of the Executive Board Committee. In August 2005, the Board of Directors appointed him Chief Executive Officer with effect from 1 January 2006.
Mr Aigrain, a dual Swiss-French citizen born in 1954, received a PhD in economics in 1981, from the Sorbonne in France and a master degree in economics from Dauphine University.
Mr Aigrain started his career with JPMorgan in 1981 and had various functions in investment banking in London, Paris and New York, including co-head, and eventually co-head of investment banking client coverage. He was also a member of JPMorgan's Investment Bank management committee.
In June 2001 Mr Aigrain joined Swiss Re as Head Financial Services Business Group and Member of the Executive Board Committee. In August 2004, the Board of Directors appointed Mr Aigrain Deputy CEO, in addition to his Financial Services role, a task that included a number of coordination functions across the firm, in particular Regulatory Affairs.
Mr Aigrain is a member of the Board of Directors of Swiss International Air Lines Ltd., Basel, the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG and a member of various advisory committees of a regional or financial nature.
Dr. Rüdiger Grube has been a member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG since October 1, 2001, and is responsible for the Corporate Development which includes Corporate Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions, Industrial Participations, IT and since October 1, 2004, responsible for all North East Asia activities of Daimler AG. In addition, he is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS N.V.).
Dr. Grube was born in Hamburg on August 2, 1951. Following commercial/technical training in metal aircraft construction, he studied automotive engineering and aircraft construction at the University for Applied Sciences in Hamburg and graduated as a qualified engineer. He later studied vocational and business teaching at the University of Hamburg. He held a special teaching post in production and engineering at the University of Hamburg from 1981 to 1986. In 1986 he completed a doctorate at the Universities of Hamburg and Kassel in the areas of industrial science and polytechnology. Dr. Grube joined then Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm GmbH in 1989, later Daimler-Benz Aerospace (DASA).

Professor Dr. Klaus Mangold, Chairman of the Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations, Federation of German Industry (BDI)
As a member of the DaimlerChrysler AG board of management, Klaus Mangold was responsible for DaimlerChrysler AG’s Services division and its central and eastern European markets. At the same time, he was chairman of the board of management of DaimlerChrysler Services AG.
Having studied law and economics at the universities of Munich, Geneva, London, Heidelberg and Mainz, Prof. Dr. Mangold held various positions in German industry prior to being a management board member and chairman of the management board of Rhodia AG, a subsidiary of the French group Rhône Poulenc, from 1983 to 1990. He was chairman of the board of management of Quelle AG from 1991 to 1994 and joined DaimlerChrysler AG as a member of the board of management in 1995.
Prof. Dr. Mangold is a member of a number of supervisory and advisory boards, including those of Metro AG, Germany, Alstom S.A., France, Chubb Corporation, USA, Magna International, Canada, and E.ON AG, Germany. He is also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Bank Rothschild, Frankfurt, Chairman of the East-West Committee of German Industry and Federal Commissioner for Foreign Investment in Germany (Invest in Germany). Since 2005, Prof. Dr. Mangold is honorary consul of the Russian Federation for Baden Württemberg.
In addition to numerous awards and honors, Prof. Dr. Mangold holds the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany (Cross of Merit on ribbon), the Decoration of Honor in silver with star of the Republic of Austria and the Medal of Merit of the State of Baden Württemberg. Reto Ringger founded SAM (Sustainable Asset Management) in 1995 and has been in charge of building and developing the company as CEO and delegate of the board of directors ever since. Under his leadership, SAM has become a global leader in the area of sustainability investments.
Reto Ringger has received various awards for his entrepreneurial activities: among others, the Cash Award for the “Rising Star”, the Cleantech Pioneer Award in recognition of his having successfully established the world’s first globally diversified cleantech private equity fund, as well as the Global Green Award from Green Cross International for having launched the Dow Jones Sustainability Index.
Reto Ringger left SAM at the end of 2008 to pursue new opportunities in the field of sustainability.

Dr. Axel Wieandt had started his professional career at McKinsey & Company, Inc., Düsseldorf/Germany and Boston/USA (Top Management Consulting in the Financial Services and Media Industry) (1993 - 1997), followed by one year at Morgan Stanley Ltd. & Co., London/UK (M & A/Corporate Finance) (1997 - 1998).
In 1998 he joined Deutsche Bank Group, Frankfurt am Main, as Deputy Global Head of Corporate Strategy (1998 - 1999) and subsequently became Managing Director of Deutsche Asset Management Europe GmbH/Deutsche Asset Management International GmbH, Frankfurt am Main (1999 - 2000).
In April 2000 he was appointed Global Head of Corporate Development (AfK), Deutsche Bank Group, and in February 2003 he also became Global Head of Corporate Investments, Deutsche Bank Group.
He is a member of the Supervisory Board of the global credit insurer Atradius N.V., Amsterdam (since 2003), and a lecturer at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management, Vallendar/Germany (professor honoris causa since 2005).
